We have been giving careful consideration to what we can do to support those affected by the conflict in Ukraine. With the Government’s announcement of match-funding of public donations up to £20m, our Foundation Schools are launching a fundraising campaign to support this appeal, directing funds to the Disasters Emergency Committee who work with local partners in Ukraine and neighbouring countries, including the Red Cross and other major charities. Their focus is on providing food, water, shelter and medical assistance to those in greatest need.
This is a cross-Foundation initiative in response to the humanitarian crisis; a combined fundraising effort, which will bring together current pupils, parents, staff and Old Millhillians. As an international community, both of boarders and day pupils, we are mindful of the complex global impact of the events which are unfolding across many political boundaries; our concern is for the immediate needs of those upon whose lives the effects have been devastating.
We would like to thank all supporters of this united fundraising initiative, in anticipation, for their generosity. If you would like to make a donation online via the Foundation’s Flywire payment portal, please click the link , typing the amount you wish to donate into the first box headed ‘DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal’ and following the instructions.
We will gather the funds and provide regular updates on sums raised.
Thank you for you support.
