I first joined the world of teaching over 20 years ago, through the Teach First scheme – an employment-based teacher training programme that fast tracks graduates into challenging state schools. I was drawn to teaching having witnessed the impact a teacher can have on a community, and I wanted to help make a difference.
Kensington Aldridge Academy was my first experience of headship, having previously worked as a Vice Principal at another academy. As the founding Principal, I oversaw the development of the academy, culminating in the placement of KAA in the top 5% of schools in the country by the Department of Education.
After ten wonderful years at KAA, I wanted to sink my teeth into a new challenge. There are several aspects of the role at Mill Hill School that were attractive to me, but it was the Mill Hill community that really convinced me. Seeing the commitment of staff, parents, pupils and Old Millhillians across the Foundation was truly inspiring.
My goal is to help Mill Hill become the best version of itself it can be, and I look forward to working with you all to make that happen.
