Remembering Patrick Connelly

Friends gathered to remember and honour OM Patrick Connelly (Ridgeway 1952-57)

Old Millhillian Patrick Connelly (Ridgeway 1952-57) sadly passed away in 2020 at the age of 81.

Patrick was passionate about Mill Hill School and a frequent visitor, attending several events over the years. He was also a member of the 1807 Society, a group made up of Old Millhillians who have pledged to leave a gift to Mill Hill in their will.

Patrick fulfilled this pledge and left The Foundation a generous legacy that will greatly contribute to the Bursary Scheme, enabling talented children the opportunity of a Mill Hill School education. Patrick came to Mill Hill School on a bursary himself and was dedicated to helping make a difference in the lives of future generations of Millhillians.

To honour his legacy, a bench dedicated to Patrick now features just outside the McClure Music School. On Tuesday 17 May, a group of Patrick’s friends and his sister gathered to remember him. They were also joined by Jane Sanchez (Head, Mill Hill School) and Antony Spencer (CEO, The Mill Hill School Foundation) to recognise his huge contribution to The Foundation.
