A roundup of Grimsdell Fundraising activity from the GPA

On Tuesday 22 February, we hosted ‘Twosday’ to mark 22/02/2022. Families donated cash featuring the number 2 - coins and notes! - and we raised a whopping £1,560.68. Each class counted their total donations with class 2AM raising the most, winning a classroom screening of a movie of their choice with popcorn on tap!

On Wednesday 23 February over forty of us gathered for a GPA cuppa and a catch up. With lots of ideas shared, it was great to see the power of our parent community coming together once again.

On Tuesday 1 March, we hosted the inaugural ‘Great Grimsdell Pancake Race’. The whole school - divided into houses - took part in the flipping race up Wills Grove, only slightly overshadowed by the staff and parents race… Oak house scooped up the trophy, but GOSH was the real winner on the day - with £5,102.58 raised in sponsorship of Grimsdell children.

We also came together as a community to donate items desperately needed by Ukrainian families on the move. On Friday 4 March we delivered tonnes of warm clothes, bedding and toiletries to reach Moldovan NGO ‘Ajuta Un Om’ to assist Ukrainians who crossed that border. We are incredibly proud of the generosity of Grimsdell families with this quick turnaround initiative.

The final Friday of the term sees us collaborate with Doughies to launch our 'Bake it at Home' event. Families pre-order pizza boxes and cookie kits to collect with their little ones on 25 March and make in the comfort of their own homes that weekend. Orders have flooded in from families and staff alike, but there is always room for more so for anyone interested in getting involved, do please email us.

We continue to offer our ‘always on’ pre-loved uniform provision, stocking Grimsdell uniform in fantastic condition. Donations from those who were recently at Grimsdell are always also welcome to keep our stock piled high! Plus there will be an ‘in real life’ sale on 29 March at school.

Please don’t be a stranger - we are always around for a chat. You can reach us here.
