Welcome back Old Millhillians! |
Renowned for his remarkable legal career, parliamentary service, and prolific contributions as an author and columnist, Bob was invited back to school to view his portrait in the Old Millhillians room.
Robert was interviewed by Romina D Z (Priestley) and Dila B (Murray). Fascinated by Bob's rebellious nature and how the Bar had led him to his career in Politics the pupils led a thoughtful and engaging conversation with him. Bob explained how his wife had helped to shape his political views and the value of having an established career before venturing in to politics and how civil liberties and the environment are his motivations.
He then sat down with a group of Politics scholars to share insights from his journey into politics, offering invaluable advice and wisdom to the pupils. The discussion provided a unique opportunity for pupils to ask him questions about his career and experiences in public service. Robert also enjoyed touring the school, his old boarding house before enjoying lunch in the Crick Room.
