If you join us in the Wordsworth Room at St John’s in May you won’t see any daffodils, but you will meet Old Millhillian friends and guests, gathering for our first East Anglia Dinner since 2019. This is not exactly by popular demand but in response to a few who have wondered if it was time to hold a formal dinner again. We have spent five of the last six years visiting special places of interest as part of our informal Saturday morning gatherings before lunching at Trinity College and we shall return to such meetings again, but please join us this year in the historic surroundings of St John’s College for a champagne reception followed by  a three course dinner in the room that acknowledges William Wordsworth’s time at St John’s as an undergraduate.

Our President, John Hellinikakis, will be present as our guest and I have invited the Head, David Benson, also as our guest. Both have been asked to tell us about the Club and the School respectively after the dinner. I am hoping also that current OM undergraduates will be able to find the time to join us, also as our guests. Spouses and partners are very welcome and will add to what has all the makings of an evening of fine wine, good food and excellent company in elegant surroundings. I look forward to seeing you on Friday 15th May from 6.30pm. For those intending to drive home after the dinner, the business of the evening will be over by 10.30pm at the latest.
