We are delighted to invite Old Millhillians to a special FinTech evening featuring Charles McManus, Founder of ClearBank, the UK’s first new clearing bank in over 250 years.

A serial entrepreneur and pioneering figure in financial services, Charles began his career as a technologist before founding and scaling multiple successful businesses across payments, technology and banking. He is best known for co-founding ClearBank, where he set out to challenge traditional banking infrastructure and build a cloud-native clearing bank designed for the digital economy. Under his leadership, ClearBank has become a critical part of the UK’s financial ecosystem, supporting banks, fintechs and payment institutions.

Charles will join us for an informal fireside chat, sharing insights from his career — from building and exiting businesses, to navigating regulation, leading through rapid growth, and driving innovation in a highly complex and regulated industry. The conversation will also explore the future of FinTech and banking, followed by audience Q&A and networking.

The evening will take place at the fashionably cool Hoxton Hotel, Holborn, providing the perfect London setting for conversation and connection. A bar and food will be included in the ticket price, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the evening together.
