Dear Old Millhillians,

We are pleased to announce the launch event of our new Politics and Government Group for all those with an interest in the workings of both Parliament and the Government Departments.

We would like to invite any OM, whatever their background, to informal drinks and snacks at the Red Lion pub located in the heart of Whitehall and only a stone's throw from Parliament. This well-known landmark is frequented both by MPs and civil servants from the Treasury, Foreign Office, and Cabinet Office, all of which are located just over the road.

We do not plan any formal agenda for this inaugural event, which has been designed to gauge levels of interest from across the OM community, provide opportunities for networking, and share views and experiences on the world of Westminster.

In future events we plan to invite speakers to come and share their insights into the workings of Parliament and Government, and what it is like for the people who actually work there.

The cost of participation will be £10 and will include your first drink and snacks We look forward to seeing you!
