Dear Old Millhillians,

The OM Engineers Dinner will be held at The Bleeding Heart Bistrot in London which has always provided a delicious three course dinner and excellent wine to compliment both socialising and talking shop.

This year’s speaker is Hassan Khalid, a Senior Engineer in Machine Learning and Data Science at AstraZeneca. He has held various data science and machine learning roles in pharma and created a start-up recording and reporting health events for individuals which was used for TB and COVID tracking.

He will share his views on AI and ML. What it is and what isn't. Why Large Language Models (LLMs) aren't the only game in town and the energy and resource costs of the industry.

We would like to encourage everyone with an interest in engineering, science, design and technology to attend, whatever stage of your career or studies you are at or if it is just an interest.
