This year, the Club will hold its first hybrid AGM. We hope you will be able to attend in person but we are also keen for OMs based overseas or with a long travel journey to London to have the chance to participate.
The in person meeting will be held at Gatehouse Chambers, Gray’s Inn, 1 Lady Hale Gate, London WC1X 8BS and virtually on the Zoom platform.
You do not have to be a Zoom member to attend the AGM virtually. You just need to click on the following link:
Join Zoom Meeting
https://us06web.zoom.us/j/88443318565?pwd=Z0VVOW5Pb0poc3o3WncrV2pMRHFIQT09
All Zoom attendees will be muted so that there is no background noise interference. Zoom has a facility for any attendee to raise a hand to ask a question or make a comment during the meeting. The Chair, John Gallagher, our President, will notice the raised hand on his screen, unmute the attendee, and request him/her to speak.
As in previous years, AGM papers will be posted on the secure customised Mi-Voice website. You will receive access to the documents by e mail from the following e mail address: omclub@mivoice.co.uk
The e mail will contain a link to the site and a password unique to you for accessing the site.
You can access the site multiple times for document reading or downloading, but you will only be permitted to vote once on resolutions.
Members can choose to vote on resolutions exclusively using one of three methods:
Online proxy voting on the Mi-Voice system in advance of the AGM until 18.00 (BST) on Monday 13 June 2022
Online voting on the Mi-Voice system during the AGM if attending virtually
In person voting during the AGM
The Mi-Voice system will automatically aggregate proxy votes and virtual attendee votes but there will need to be a final count in the meeting to take account of the show of hands. (In 2023, we hope to be able to vote electronically in the in-person meeting too).
The AGM documents will be emailed to you on 24 May 2022.
For security reasons, only Club members who have registered to attend the AGM in person will be able to access the building.
